Early Humans mini-projects

I hope everyone is enjoying their long weekend. I am attaching the project list for the Early Humans projects for those who are working on them at home.

Modigliani Self-Portraits

The students of Division 1 created self-portraits in the style of Amedeo Modigliani, a famous 19th century painter. They also wrote, "I Am" poems to introduce themselves to the school. If possible, I encourage parents and relatives to view this impressive work displayed in the front hall, beside Room 1.

Terry Fox Run

Division 1 has been training to participate in the annual Terry Fox run. Tomorrow we will be searching the CBC archives for authentic media coverage from his heroic run in 1980. I remember Terry Fox running down Dundas Street in my home town of London, Ontario. I was about the same age as the students in our class. It's hard to believe that was 31 years ago!
